Dr. Carmi frequently serves as an arbitrator and mediator. He is included in the list of arbitrators for various arbitration institutions, such as the Israel Bar Association, the Institute for Business Arbitration, the Arbitration Federation, and Shurat Hadin. Thanks to his extensive experience, he is routinely appointed by them as an arbitrator in disputes.
Dr. Carmi’s judicial experience is also reflected in his role on the National Disciplinary Court of the Israel Bar Association, which serves as the Bar’s disciplinary appeals instance. Several of Dr. Carmi’s judgments have been published in legal databases and have received media coverage. Dr. Carmi lectures at the Israel Bar Association in seminars on arbitration and is considered an authority in the field.
In addition to being an arbitrator, Dr. Carmi also serves as a mediator. Dr. Carmi has undergone advanced training in mediation and is appointed as a mediator in disputes by both courts and parties to a conflict. Dr. Carmi is a member of the Israel Mediators Organization.
Dr. Carmi’s ability to combine legal authority with practical business and commercial thinking is a skill of paramount importance in resolving disputes in the business arena. The extensive knowledge he acquired in business administration provides him with a unique perspective and assists him in resolving disputes, whether through the arbitration process or mediation. Furthermore, Dr. Carmi represents clients in various arbitrations and proceedings related to arbitration. These proceedings include representation in: appeals before an arbitrator, applications to cancel an arbitration award, appeals on arbitration in the courts, and proceedings concerning international arbitrations, including the enforcement of international arbitration awards.
