Dr. Carmi is committed to community contribution and pro bono work.
- Dr. Carmi serves as a (volunteer) Board Member and a member of the Select Executive Committee for the Movement for Quality Government in Israel (NPO).
- Dr. Carmi serves as a (volunteer) Board Member for the Izun – Back on Track (NPO) organization.
- Dr. Carmi holds the position (on a volunteer basis) of a Judge (Dayan) in the National Disciplinary Court of the Israel Bar Association, serving his second consecutive term.
- In the past, Dr. Carmi participated in Public Diplomacy (Hasbara) delegations on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the UN Human Rights Conference in Geneva and the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in South Africa.
